Thanks to Frank Hennesy for being first in to play some tracks from I Think We Both Know on his BBC Radio Wales program, Celtic Heartbeats. He played the tracks The Sun and the new improved album version of Otherside – sandwiched between all sorts of lilting Celtic type stuff. You can have a listen and check the playlist here.
Frank was the first to get behind Little Light and Someone Sometimes, and BBC Radio Wales were the first too to have me in for a live radio session after the release of Little Light. God bless Wales!

This evening ‘Other Side’ will be given a spin on BCB Radio’s ‘Going North from Nashville’ americana / alt-country show. The show runs for an hour from 10PM – you can listen via their website. Really looking forward to heading up north and playing a show for these guys in November too. If you do listen why not send them an email to say ‘yeehah’ for supporting real music.
I had such a fun time on BBC Radio London’s “The Late Show” last night. I got in there at midnight, tuned up quickly and before I knew it I was playing a few tunes and having a good old chat with host Tessa Dunlop. The interview was a bit weird – I don’t think I was awake enough to make sense of it all. Good times though and I especially enjoyed the chaffeur ride home. That was awesome.
Had a fantastic time down in Cardiff with BBC Radio Wales on Wednesday. I played a couple of tunes and got grilled about where I grew up, what the heck I’m doing, the music I like etc etc. The team there were a lot of fun and it was a joy to be in Cardiff where my family roots are. In other extraordinary news while I was there the audio engineer had a Kit Kat and when he bit into it he found it was solid chocolate. No wafer! I felt honoured to be there to see it.

Great news that the tunes are starting to get a run on radio around the place. Its been playlisted at a few stations and I’ve also just been invited to do a live set / interview at BBC Radio Wales sometime in July. Cool!
“From the north coast of Australia, Kris Morris brings us a mix of acoustic, country/ folk music. This is a lovely, honest EP, capturing the essence of hope as well as fear. Influences such as Bob Dylan, Ray Lamontagne and Ryan Adams definitely shine through.” Stevie Hopwood Xpression FM 87.7
“Ah now thats great. I really enjoyed that, I think he’s got a very interesting voice, a unique sound to it and I do like the songs he writes.” Frank Hennessy BBC Radio Wales
“There may be hundreds of singer-songwriters out there, but few can express their feelings with such honesty and sincerity, whereas every word uttered by Kris Morris, on this release, wrenches at the heart strings. If this is the shape of things to come you can expect to be hearing a great deal more from Kris in the future. 9/10″
